Discover Flat Rock Class
Do you have questions after visiting or learning about Flat Rock? If you would like to learn more, we invite you to the Discover Flat Rock Class, where you will hear what we believe, who we are, and what we do. The class will examine the basic doctrine of our church, an explanation of our mission statement, and a discussion of what it means to be a church member.
Connect Groups
Life is all about relationships. We believe in growing in our relationship with God and our relationships with others. Connect groups are small groups of people who are connecting relationally and growing spiritually. While growth takes place, it is also important to make sure the body of Christ is cared for. Connect Groups exist as a way for people to engage in biblical community that helps them become more like Jesus in every area of their lives.
Serve
The Bible describes the church like a body – everyone has a part to play in order for the entire body to function the way it was designed. God has designed you to perform specific roles within the local body of believers and we would love to help you find that role.
Salvation
Paul says in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sins by self-improvement and good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offering of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-righteous life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved.
Baptism
Baptism by immersion is the public declaration to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life, and that you have made the commitment to follow Jesus every day. Therefore, baptism is the next step after salvation. Salvation is the saving work of the Gospel, and baptism is the public display of your salvation. If you have never been baptized after salvation, baptism is your next step!
